Healthy Food Box Distribution
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, R.I.S.E. began a healthy food distribution program to help meet the greater needs of Battle Creek’s neighborhoods.
At the height of distribution, R.I.S.E. provided 350 families weekly with fresh, local produce and groceries, as well as personal hygiene items and household goods.
Food distribution in 2022 will take place every 3rd Thursday of the month, beginning February 17, 2022 from 3-5 p.m. at Washington Heights United Methodist Church, located at 153 Wood Street North, Battle Creek, MI 49037.
This program is supported by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation.
